Amazing cookies. I followed the directions exactly for cooling and chilling and had no trouble making them in to perfect squares. My students loved them but thought them a bit sweet. Next time I make them I will use same amount of pb filling but use more cookie dough and spread in to a 13 x 9 pan to balance the sweetness.

I followed the directions, but the peanut butter filling was too dry, so I added 2T.of cream and it held together. I lined the pan with a strip of parchment paper and it came out easily. In order to cut it, we had to let it cool and use a serrated knife. Looks delicious and tastes amazing !!!

NOPE, could not get out of pan with any resemblance of a bar cookie. Taste just not what I thought it would be. Peanut butter lovers in family not impressed.

My family of four thought these bars were just ok. I did follow the recipe and I will not be making them again.

Making these right now! Reminds me of a cafeteria treat I had as a kid. I added crushed Honey Nut Cheerios (could have used Rice Krispies, but didn't have any) for some crunch on top of the peanut butter mix before adding the cookie dough on top...we'll see! I think it's going to be a hit! :-)

I only used this as a guide but wanted to still review since this recipe was so helpful! I used 2 rolls of cookie dough, one for the top, one for the bottom and used a 13x9 pan. I added 1/2 cup more peanut butter, 1/2 tsp more vanilla, 1 egg, 1 package lowfat cream cheese, 1/4 granulated sugar and 1/2 cup more powdered sugar. I did everything else the same except I baked the cookie crust 14-15 minutes, let cool THEN added my peanut butter mixture and the crumbled cookie dough on top then baked 25-30 minutes. They turned out phenomenal! Everyone asked for the recipe!

Made double batch to take for work pot luck, was not enough to go around. shared recipe, though I did suggest to add the milk also to make it creamier and easier to spread. Big hit! Thank you

I've made this twice. First time peanut butter was stiffer than the second time. Not sure why the difference. Didn't matter though. We LOVED them both ways!! Definitely making again!! Might try adding chocolate chips on top like I read in another review.
