I just made this cake. Make sure that you put half or a little bit more than half of the cake batter in the bottom of the pan. The truffle mix is thick and it went right down into the batter and became hard after baking when you flipped the cake right side up. I love chocolate and this is a rich cake!!

I just made this cake this weekend for my husbands' 62nd birthday, for my family. It was outstanding!!! However, very rich! The only change I made, was using the drained cherry juice instead of purchasing almond extract in the filling. Everyone loved it! I also drizzled melted white chocolate across the top. I had a 1/2 cup or so of white chips.

It was not that difficult. It turned out just like it looks--only I used white chocolate flakes instead of curls. (I just had white chocolate squares.) Everyone liked it--it was "decadent".
I measured and prepared all ingredients before starting the process. I had to rewarm the filling (10 seconds) before spooning it onto the batter. Next time I might make a little trough in the batter to put it in. I had to bake it 60+ minutes.
