Very easy to put together, however a little bland. I added cumin powder durning the last hour and it made a very tasty, filly dinner.

This was very easy to make and very flavorful. I did not use the crockpot--just cooked it all together on the stove for about an hour with precooked sausage and chicken.

I love this recipe. For momofdavidsean: I buy pre-cooked chicken for just this kind of recipe. Foster Farms and Tyson both have good ones - buy what's on sale and throw it in the freezer. Or I buy a rotisserie chicken and just pull the meat off the bones while it's still warm. Depending on the size of the chicken I can usually get enough for a meal (there are 3 of us) and enough "leftovers" to make a crock meal the next day. I wouldn't start with raw chicken.

This sounds yummy, and I love new recipes for my crock pot. But one question...can't I add uncooked chicken in the beginning instead of cooking it in a separate pan?
