Ingredients

pkg (16 oz) uncooked small shell pasta

cups cubed cooked chicken

cups sliced celery
3
cups seedless red or green grapes, halved

cans (15 oz each) mandarin orange segments, drained

cup cashew pieces
1 1/2
cups mayonnaise or salad dressing
1/4
cup finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2
cups whipping cream, whipped

Directions

  • 1 Cook pasta to desired doneness as directed on package. Drain; rinse with cold water to cool. Drain well.
  • 2 In very large bowl, combine cooked pasta and all remaining ingredients except whipped cream; toss to coat. If desired, cover and refrigerate until serving time.
  • 3 Just before serving, fold in whipped cream. Store in refrigerator.

This is delicious. My husband is very hard to please but he ate 3 helpings of this. I didn't change a thing, but I did only make half of the servings. I plan to make this for Easter. I needed a carry in dish and this will be a hit with the family.

This was very good but I skipped the mayo and used my own homemade yogurt instead. You could use plain store bought yogurt too. I served it with crumbled feta cheese and pita chips. I would definitely use this recipe again.
