frozen breaded cooked chicken patties

cups uncooked instant white rice

cups water
1 1/2
cups chunky-style salsa
2
cups shredded American cheese (8 oz.)

Directions

  1. 1 Cook chicken patties as directed on package.
  2. 2 Meanwhile, cook rice in water as directed on package. Stir 1/2 cup of the salsa into rice. Cover to keep warm.
  3. 3 In 1 1/2-quart saucepan, combine remaining 1 cup salsa and the cheese; cook over low heat until cheese is melted, stirring occasionally.
  4. 4 Place cooked rice on individual serving plates. Top each serving with warm chicken patty. Spoon cheese sauce over top.
