oz. (8 slices) American cheese

(9-oz.) pkg. frozen cut broccoli in a pouch, thawed, drained*

(2-oz.) jar sliced pimientos, drained

eggs

cups milk

teaspoon salt
1/4
teaspoon dry mustard

  • 1 Grease 13x9-inch (3-quart) baking dish. Using doughnut cutter, cut rings from each slice of bread; set bread rings aside. Tear remaining bread into pieces; place in greased baking dish. Arrange cheese slices over bread. Layer chicken, onion, broccoli and pimientos over cheese. Arrange bread rings over top.
  • 2 In medium bowl, combine eggs, milk, salt and mustard; blend well. Pour egg mixture evenly over mixture in baking dish; sprinkle with paprika. Cover; refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • 3 Heat oven to 325°F. Uncover; bake 55 to 65 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

* To quickly thaw broccoli, remove broccoli from pouch; place in colander or strainer. Rinse with warm water until thawed; drain well. Or cut small slit in center of pouch; microwave on HIGH for 2 to 3 minutes or until thawed. Remove broccoli from pouch; drain well.

This recipe is great! I always make it when we do a brunch and there is never any leftovers! The fact that you put it together the night before, helps the morning of the brunch run smoothly. Warm and yummy definitely describes it!!!
