I used Pillsbury chocolate chip cookie dough for the base and left off the peanuts and they were a huge hit.

I liked the middle layer. I did not like the choc. taste to the top. The crust was horrible. It was hard, crumbly and bland.I can't imagine how this recipe made it into the Bake Off Contest.

Just reading the recipe seems like the filling calls for too much sugar.

I have tried this recipe several times and have enjoyed to each time. I love the texture of each layer and the way the they combine into the perfect flavor. I have shared this recipe with others and will continue to turn to this recipe for covered dish get togethers. So easy and good! My first choice!

I LIKE THE RECIPE. IT IS EASY AND GOOD, BUT NOT PRIZE WINNING.
THE CRUNCH IS GREAT AND THE CARAMEL WAS PERFECT. I HAD NO TROUBLE CUTTING INTO IT. GOOD LUCK.

I was so looking forward to these, but was entirely disappointed! I ended up tossing the whole dish because they were unedible - the caramel center turned into a brick and was too hard to cut into, let alone bite through. It could have been something I did, but I followed directions word for word.

The middle was great. The cookie crust left a lot to be desired. I didn't leave it in as long as recipe stated. It still crumbled and was very hard. I think the recipe has potential, I can think of other ingredients to make them WOW.
