This looks yummy, but I was wondering if it would work using the canned biscuits instead of the frozen ones? Also, I'm thinking of using canned pie filling rather than the preserves. Any thoughts on these substitutions?

To Maian8...I did these with reduced fat Grands and 1/3 fat cream cheese. Used sugar free preserves. They are still delicious and nowhere near the fat that the original recipe is. Going to try this with cream cheese and chocolate. Yummmm....This recipe can be played with alot :)

Too much fat in this recipe to bother with only making 2. If I know my husband, he would be able to eat 4 of these himself and I wouldn't want him to eat that much fat. If it dripped over like the other reviewer said I would put the muffin tin on a cookie sheet to avoid the mess.

We do not seem to have the frozen biscuits here in rural Ontario. Do they have them in Ontario, Canada at all?

This is soooo delicious and easy! It's easy to make for just 2 people also.

This recipe was really good, but I used vanilla extract instead of almond extract and strawberry preserves instead of cherry. Will definantly make this again for my family and friends.

Not bad, a little on the dry side unless you double the filling and add extra glaze on top. My husband liked them. They were not sweet enough for me.

These were very tasty and very easy to make! There were a hit with everyone. They made a bit of a mess while cooking. the biscuits overflowed from the muffin slots and that caused the filling to ooze out as well. When they were done baking, I added some more cherry perserves to each cup since some of it oozed out during baking. I pretty much quaudrupled the recipe to accomodate enough for 7 people.
