I have made these braids many, many times and constantly get rave reviews from family and friends. They are my grandson's favorite. I have "personalized" the recipe a bit and am happy to share with you. I buy Crescent Seamless Dough Sheets so I don't have to contend with the perforations in the regular crescent rolls. Instead of mixing the marschino cherries into the cream cheese. I spoon pie cherries on top of the cream cheese and finish the braid as instructed. I also add a tad of almond extract to the frosting. Yummy!!! Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

I did a little switching of ingredients with this recipe. I had no cherries and only had regular cream cheese, so I added chopped peaches, canned and drained, and a handful of chopped dried cranberries. It came out great, and baked in less time, maybe because of my oven, but the crust is flaky and this went over big for company!
