Cheesy Sloppy Joe Bake

Ingredients

lb. lean hamburger
1/2
onion, chopped
1
rib celery, chopped
8
mushrooms, sliced
1/2
to 1 jalapeno pepper, finely diced
2
T dijon mustard
1
T worchestershire sauce
2
c. grated cheese (I used 1 c mozzerella & 1 c cheddar)
1
can sloppy joe sauce
1
can Grands Buttermilk Biscuits, Jr.
Garlic powder and Italian seasoning to taste

Directions

  • 1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cook hamburger and all veggies until meat is done and veggies are most of the way cooked. Season with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Draing off any excess fat.
  • 2 Stir in sloppy joe sauce, dijon mustard and worchestershire sauce. Simmer for 5 min.
  • 3 Spray an 8 x 11 glass baking dish with non-stick coating. Pour meat mixture into dish. Cover with cheese. Separate biscuits and cut each one in half. Arrange on top, leaving space in between each one.
  • 4 Bake 20 - 25 minutes until bubbly and biscuits are golden brown.
