This recipe was good, but it took about 30 minutes longer to cook than the recipe states, and I was using chicken tenders, not breasts! Also, not all of the rice was done. It has good flavor and the family seemed to like it, too bad the directions are not accurate.

This was a very BLAND recipe. Easy yes...had to cook longer than recipe to cook chicken and I had cut my chicken in strips to help. Needs more flavor...green chilis, sour cream, garlic, more cumin, more cheese...something. Would not recommend.

My family loved the taste but I had to cook it an extra 30 minutes to get the chicken done and some of the rice did not cook! Need to tweak it a bit because I would like to make it again!

If you're looking for a way to reduce sodium, use a can of black beans that is marked "lower sodium" or "no salt added." There are a couple different kinds at my local grocer. Not sure, though, how much that alteration will cut out of this recipe. Eeek.

I agree with the sodium content! Sounds really good but they need to start offering low sodium options

I was right with you until I saw how much sodium is in this recipe! 1200 mgs. of sodium in one serving is way too much. Can you modify this recipe to reduce the sodium?

1120mg of sodium? Seriously? I have noticed that Progresso products tend to have the highest levels of sodium of products of the same type. Are you guys working on that? You know excesses of 1000mg sodium daily presents a health risk - you are professionals, you should be able to bring flavors to your products without loading up on salt.

This is a GREAT dish ~ although I did make two changes ~ Instead of Cumin I used 1 tsp. Chipotle Chile Pepper Powder (we like spice/heat); I replaced the Colby-Monterey Jack with Sargento Classic 4-Cheese Mexican Cheese, we just LOVE this cheese! These changes made this recipe fantastic!!!
