Caramel Pecan Sauce

cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2
cup chopped pecans
1/2
cup whipping cream
1/4
cup light corn syrup
2
tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2
teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. 1 In medium saucepan, combine all ingredients except vanilla; mix well. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Boil 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
  2. 2 Stir in vanilla. Cool about 15 minutes or until thickened. Store in refrigerator.
