I suspect that a pizza pan or a cookie sheet would work if you don't have a cast iron skillet. Personally, I can't live without mine. I have collection in various sizes and shapes, some were purchased, some handed down. They are really inexpensive and definitely something to watch for at yard/garage sales and thrift shops.

The non-stick skillet will only work if it's oven-proof (including the handle). That's why they recommend the cast iron. But if I were to make this, I would simply use a pie plate or a square baking dish. I'm sure whatever you normally use for baking will work just fine, doesn't necessarily have to go in a skillet. Good Luck ! :-)
