Caramel Apple A La Mode Tarts

Tart shells are made easily from Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust, then filled with apple pie filling and ice cream. Caramel syrup and pecans finish the sweet treat

Ingredients

1 - Pillsbury® Refrigerated Pie Crust (at least 1 crust) 14.1 oz box
1 1/2
cups apple pie filling from a 21 oz can
1
cup premium vanilla ice cream
6
tablespoons caramel flavored sundae syrup
2
tablespoons pecan chips

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 450F. Spray underside of standard 6-cup muffin pan with cooking oil spray.
  • 2 Unroll pie crust; roll into a 12-inch round. With a 4-inch round cookie cutter or cardboard template cut 6 rounds.
  • 3 Place dough rounds over back of muffin cups. With fingers, pinch pleat 4 corners to fit dough to cups. Prick top and sides several times with a fork. Bake 5 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool shells 5 minutes then carefully remove from muffin cups. Cool open side up on cooling rack.
  • 4 Fill shells with apple pie filling. Scoop ice cream on top using a cookie dough scoop. Place on dessert plate. Drizzle ice cream with caramel ice cream topping then sprinkle with pecan chips. Drizzle additional syrup on plate if desired.

Make tart shells ahead of time. Cover in an air tight container for later use.
