Caprese Biscuit Stackers

Take all the traditional elements of capers salad—mozzarella, basil and tomatoes—and stack them together to make this delicious recipe.

can Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Jr. Golden Layers® refrigerated flaky original biscuits
cup mayonnaise
cup chopped fresh basil leaves
Juice of 1 lemon
Ground black pepper to taste
thin slices mozzarella cheese
yellow tomatoes, thinly sliced
orange tomatoes, thinly sliced
red tomatoes, thinly sliced
Fresh basil leaves
cup balsamic reduction sauce
  • 1 Bake biscuits as directed on can. Cool. With sharp knife, cut each biscuit into 3 layers.
  • 2 In small bowl, stir together mayonnaise, chopped basil and lemon juice. Add pepper to taste.
  • 3 To make each biscuit stacker, spread mayonnaise mixture on bottom layer of biscuit. Top with 1 slice of cheese and 2 tomato slices. Add center layer of biscuit; spread with mayonnaise mixture. Top with 2 tomato slices, basil leaves and top layer of biscuit.
  • 4 Place biscuit stackers on platter. Drizzle stackers with balsamic reduction sauce. Serve immediately.
