can (13.8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated classic pizza crust or 1 can (11 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated thin pizza crust

tablespoons horseradish mustard
1/4
teaspoon dried thyme leaves
3/4
lb thinly sliced Canadian bacon
2
large tart green apples, peeled, sliced (3 cups)
1
package (8 oz) deli-thin Swiss cheese slices

  • 1 Heat oven to 400°F. Spray or lightly grease large cookie sheet (use dark pan for thin crust). Sprinkle sesame seed on cookie sheet. Unroll dough; place over seed. Cover with waxed paper. With rolling pin, roll dough into 16x13-inch rectangle; remove paper.
  • 2 Spread mustard over dough; sprinkle evenly with thyme. Layer bacon, apples and cheese over mustard, covering entire surface.
  • 3 Bake classic crust 14 to 18 minutes, thin crust 12 to 16 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted. Cut into 4 rows by 4 rows.

Tip if using classic crust: For a crispier crust, prebake crust 11 to 16 minutes or until lightly browned, then add toppings; bake pizza 4 to 7 minutes.

This recipe was not blah, I see the person submitting the recipe was from Western New York, where Webber's Horseradish Mustard is available. I did find some other brand of horseradish mustard and it had plenty of taste. Made 3 pies, over 50 people sampled, hit of the party. Careful, it cooks quick.

I think switching to Monterey Jack cheese will give you the zip of flavor you are missing.

Found this recipe a little blah. Needed something, maybe next time will use real bacon instead of the Canadian. Everyone agreed that it was missing just a little.

I made this recipe recently for my Bridge club. The Canadian Bacon I bought was already sliced and I thought it probably would be unweildy to bite into as it was sliced, so I chopped it and it worked fine. I used a bit more mustard. Everyone loved it and I plan to take it to a Packer-party soon.
