California Vegetable Burgers

Ingredients

  • 4 (3.2-oz.) pkg. all-vegetable protein patties
  • 4 burger buns, split, toasted
  • 1/2 cup purchased guacamole
  • 1 cup fresh alfalfa sprouts
  • 4 slices tomato

    Prepare patties as directed on package.
  • 2
    Spread cut sides of toasted buns with guacamole. Place patties, alfalfa sprouts and tomato slices in buns.

  • One of the flavored mayonnaises can be used in place of the guacamole in these burgers. To maintain the California theme, try chipotle Mayonnaise or Southwestern Mayonnaise.
  • Try sourdough buns instead of regular burger buns.
  • For deluxe California burgers, add slices of Monterey Jack cheese, lettuce and toasted sunflower seeds to the toppings.
