I just tried to these and they turned out disgusting. I used the bacon bits in the jar and I would not recommend that. Real bacon or Real bacon bits only for this one I think.

Very good and so easy. I used real bacon so it took a little longer to prepare but over all very good.

These were easy to make and the flavor combination was great, but I apparently misunderstood the directions. When I made my "deep indentation" into the cookie, I used the back of a wooden spoon and made almost a little volcano shape, and thought the cookie balls would spread out. They didn't spread much at all, and instead my butterscotch bits all hardened into a hard nugget in the middle of my cookie. So make sure you make your indentation much bigger than I did--almost the size of the cookie, I'm guessing? That way the cookie will be flatter, and the butterscotch will be more spread out.

I made these cookies yesterday but I used the package Pillsbury sugar cookie mix and mixed butterscotch chips in the batter and then pressed the bacon bits on top of the cookies before baking. FANTASTIC.

WHoa...so let me just say I was making these for my mom's co-worker thinking that I was not going to like them because I HATE Butterscotch but this was wonderfully delicious! I mean the gooey-ness of the butterscotch when its comming right out of the oven and the utter thought of anything with bacon on it just makes me jump for joy! So I said all that to say the grade I give this desert is an A and all you bakers out there should definitely try this one! :)
