Buttercream Pound Cake

Swirls of poppy seed add interest to this lemon pound cake. This recipe originally used a dry frosting mix that is no longer available. Our updated version has the delicious buttery flavor of the original recipe.

This recipe was not awesome. First off, finding poppyseed filling in Southern California is pretty impossible. Making your own (googled it) is just short of impossible. I found the cake to be dry and uninviting. It was heavy and dry. The taste was good, however. I won't make this again.

This cake is superior and buttery. It melts in your mouth, and the poppyseed just gives it a boost to perfection. It is great with or without the frosting
