This recipe was not awesome. First off, finding poppyseed filling in Southern California is pretty impossible. Making your own (googled it) is just short of impossible. I found the cake to be dry and uninviting. It was heavy and dry. The taste was good, however. I won't make this again.

Too dry, not sweet enough to be cake. Will not try again.

This cake is superior and buttery. It melts in your mouth, and the poppyseed just gives it a boost to perfection. It is great with or without the frosting
