The cake in this recipe is really good because the egg whites keep it from being too sweet and heavy. I had trouble whipping the cream because of the chocolate in it, but it does add a cool and refreshing flavor. My husband prefers the cake without the whipped cream. I used 1/2 tsp of mint in the cake and topping each.
