loaf sweet white French bread, sliced
1
pound extra sharp cheddar cheese
1
quart whole milk (4 cups)
1/2
dozen eggs (6)
1
pound bacon

  • 1 Make the casserole the night before.
  • 2 In a large bowl whisk together the eggs and milk. Let stand covered in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • 3 Cook the pound of bacon until crispy. Crumble the bacon into small pieces and set aside.
  • 4 Shred the pound of cheese and set aside.
  • 5 Cut the crust off the loaf of bread. Take 1/2 of the loaf and butter one side of each slice.
  • 6 Place the buttered bread butter side down in a 13x9-inch casserole dish.
  • 7 Cover the bread with half of the cheese and top with half of the bacon.
  • 8 Start a second layer with the rest of the bread and top with the rest of the cheese and bacon.
  • 9 Pour the entire egg and milk mixture over the layers.
  • 10 Cover and place in the refrigerator overnight (12 hours).
  • 11 Bake the next morning uncovered at 350°F. for 1 hour.

You'll need 4 cups whole milk and 6 eggs.

CANT BAKE I NEED HOW MANY EGGS AND MILK WAS USED
