Ingredients

cups sliced halved onions

teaspoons concentrated beef base

teaspoon pepper

can (28 oz) Muir Glen™ organic diced tomatoes, undrained

cup water
1 1/2
lb beef top round steak (1/2 inch thick), trimmed of fat, cut into serving-sized pieces

Directions

  1. 1 In Dutch oven or 12-inch skillet, combine all ingredients except beef; mix well. Place beef over tomato mixture. Bring to a boil.
  2. 2 Stir gently. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until beef is tender.
