This is very similar to a recipe I make. I don't use scallions, mushrooms, nor cornstarch. But I do add some sliced jarred roasted red peppers, lightly toasted pine nuts, and white wine. Absolutely delicious!

I also tweaked this recipe a bit by sauteing chopped onion and garlic with the mushrooms. We enjoyed a new way to use asparagus and it was super easy to make.

I agree with the reviewers who said this was a little short on taste. I used 1.5 lbs. of chicken (we like a little extra protein), so I added some extra garlic and green onion for flavoring as well, and still all of my family members thought this was a little bland. The fresh parmesan cheese was definitely necessary to give it some taste. Otherwise, we liked it. It's a very healthy meal and easy to prepare. Next time, I'm going to seriously bump up the garlic, onion, and fresh basil. A little lemon juice would complement these flavors as well.

I have to agree with Schanz0 This fell short on flavor. I will make my own version of this in the future with a blend of seasonings to give it the flavor kick it needs.

I made many changes to this and it still fell short on full flavor. I added garlic powder, black pepper fresh ground, sea salt, Italian seasoning, dry basil, and extra fresh basil, but still needed to add salt and pepper at the table. I think if I added some lemon zest and a light bodied white wine this dish would rock, it had an awesome sauce consistency but chicken stock and corn starch doesn't add much flavor. It was very fast to make though and we also had fresh parmesan cheese which helped alot.It is a good, not great pasta dish that is fast to make with lots of room for extra ideas.

This is a great recipe to make with fresh asparagus in spring. I was really worried that because it didn't take me all day to cook it, that it would not be good. Boy, was I wrong. This dish was amazing and I can't believe how easy it was to prepare. Will make it again.

Delicious! I reduced the past to 3 cups, and used whole wheat bow tie pasta for an even healthier dish. My whole family loved it! Will surely make again and again! Flavorful and interesting enough for company! (note to debfoster112: the nutritional info is at the bottom of the recipe - says it makes 6 servings. Using the WW calculator one serving = 8 "points plus" If you use whole wheat pasta, and use a little less pasta, it is probably fewer than 8. (I am on WW too!)
