cup cubed (1/2 inch) 97%-fat-free cooked ham

medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)

cans (15 oz each) black beans, drained and rinsed
1
can (14.5 oz) no-salt-added whole tomatoes, undrained, cut up
1
teaspoon chili powder
Tortilla chips, if desired

  • 1 In 3-quart nonstick saucepan, cook ham and onion over medium heat 4 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until onion is tender.
  • 2 Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer uncovered 20 minutes or until slightly thickened. If desired, garnish each serving with a few crushed baked tortilla chips.
