can (16 oz) bean sprouts, drained

can ( 8 oz) sliced water chestnuts, drained

can (4 oz) Green Giant® Mushroom Pieces and Stems, drained

cups Progresso® beef flavored broth (from 32-oz. carton)
1
jar (2 oz) diced pimientos, drained

tablespoons soy sauce
1/2
teaspoon ginger
2
tablespoons cornstarch
3
tablespoons water
4
cups chow mein noodles or hot cooked rice

  • 1 Brown ground beef in large skillet over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes or until thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain.
  • 2 Add celery, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, mushrooms, broth, piementos, soy sauce and ginger; mix well. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 3 Meanwhile, in small bowl, blend cornstarch and water until smooth.
  • 4 Stir cornstarch mixture into beef mixture. Cook until mixture is bubbly and slightly thickened. Serve over chow mein noodles. If desired, serve with additional soy sauce.

I used the rice for this recipe and it is good for a cold night and very easy to make. My kids and my husband really enjoyed it.
