Beef Brisket with Cranberry Gravy

Ingredients

lb fresh beef brisket (not corned beef)

teaspoon salt
1/4
teaspoon pepper

can (16 oz) whole berry cranberry sauce
1
can (8 oz) tomato sauce
1/2
cup chopped onion
1
tablespoon yellow mustard

Directions

  1. 1 Rub surface of beef brisket with salt and pepper. In 4- to 5-quart slow cooker, place beef. In small bowl, mix remaining ingredients. Pour over beef.
  2. 2 Cover; cook on Low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.
  3. 3 Remove beef from slow cooker. Cut beef across grain into thin slices. If desired, skim fat from cranberry sauce in slow cooker. Serve beef with sauce.
