I just made this a few days ago and altered the recipe a little. Just made the bbq shredded chicken how I normally make it, in a big dutch oven cooking for several hours. Then, instead of using Pillsbury crescent rolls, I used the Pillsbury UNCUT crescent roll dough and made 4 hot pockets instead of using the crescent rolls. They were delicious! :) Also good to add a little extra bbq sauce before sealing the roll. SO GOOD :)

Good, but somewhat bland for my liking.

I made this using a rotisserie chicken and Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ Sauce, and a little more cheese than the recipe called for. I'm not a fan of the pre-made BBQ chicken, as I like more chicken, less sauce! I brought these to a party, and they were a huge hit!

I made this recipe for a small get-together with friends and everyone loved them! Many of my guests asked for copies of the recipe. Definately use a little flower to make it easier to work with the crescents. It was a bit messy to put together, but that doesn't bother me when the end product is worth it! I like the idea to use the extra filling for Quesadillas and also the idea to use beef in place of the chicken. Perhaps next time I will make both chicken and beef.

These were VERY tasty, however, they were a pain in the neck to make. I said I would not make them again, but I am trying to modify it to make it easier (less time consuming) to make. My family and I did love how great they tasted, but they were not worth all the effort it took to make them.

The appetizer was a fast solution for a get together. I recommend using the garlic crescent rolls. I also added a bit of jalepeno. My dish was a hit!
