This is a great recipe. Whenever we have family in from out of town, they always ask me to make this "gumbo". I add smoked sausage and some Old Bay seasoning to mine and it makes it even better!

I have been making this for years. My husband loves this and request it often. The green chili flavors mixed with the shrimp is lovely. I usually serve it over sticky asian style rice.
