I made this pie for a dinner party last night and it got rave reviews. Everyone loved it and their were no left overs. I do think next time I make it I might use the type of chocolate syrup that hardens into a shell when it comes in contact with the cold ice cream. I think it will add an interesting texture. I decided, because of time contraints to use canned whipped cream instead of doing my own. It was perfect and made the caramel cream that goes on the bottom layer of bananas one of the best things I have ever tasted. Easy to prepare and a real winner all around.
