Bread

(14-oz.) pkg. banana quick bread & muffin mix

cup water
1/3
cup brandy or 1/3 cup water plus 2 teaspoons brandy extract
1/4
cup oil

teaspoon cinnamon

teaspoon nutmeg
Dash cloves

Glaze

tablespoons corn syrup

tablespoon brandy or 1 tablespoon water plus 1/4 teaspoon brandy extract

Brandy Butter

cup powdered sugar
1/2
cup butter, softened
1/4
teaspoon nutmeg

tablespoon brandy or 1 tablespoon water plus 1/4 teaspoon brandy extract

Directions

  1. 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour bottom only of 8x4 or 9x5-inch loaf pan. In large bowl, combine all bread ingredients; stir by hand until mix is moistened. Pour into greased and floured pan.
  2. 2 Bake at 350°F. for 52 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  3. 3 In small bowl, combine glaze ingredients; mix well. Brush glaze over top of warm loaf. Cool 30 minutes or until completely cooled.
  4. 4 In another small bowl, beat powdered sugar, butter and nutmeg until light and fluffy. Beat in 1 tablespoon brandy; mix well. Serve with loaf. Wrap loaf tightly; store loaf and butter in refrigerator.
