These cookies do not have to be chocolate & white. For the topping you can use pastel colored candy melts. The sprinkles can still be white or colored to match the candy melts. You can also consider using edible glitter to add subtle sparkle. For the holiday season crushed green or red striped candy canes could be sprinkled on top of the icing. An alternate to the crushed hard candy would be shaved Andes Candies with the green and/or red stripes[tiny curls]. The Macadamia nuts can be replaced with chopped Pecans or English Walnuts. This 'cookie' is every bit as versatile as the 'candy' truffle

This is a tiny, bite sized powerhouse of flavor! Would make an impressive gift. The flavor is not dependant upon liquer-you can always use a flavoring liquid added to vanilla.
