Baked Ham with Zesty Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

fully cooked rump half, bone-in ham (6 lb)

can (16 oz) jellied cranberry sauce
1/3
cup apple juice
1/4
cup port wine or apple juice

tablespoons lemon juice

tablespoon Dijon mustard

teaspoons sugar
2
teaspoons grated lemon peel
2
teaspoons grated orange peel
1/4
teaspoon white pepper
1/4
teaspoon ground ginger

Directions

  1. 1 Heat oven to 325°F. Place ham on rack in shallow roasting pan. Add 1/4 to 1/2 inch water to pan. Cover pan.
  2. 2 Bake 45 minutes. Uncover pan; bake 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes longer or until meat thermometer inserted in center, but not touching bone, registers 140°F.
  3. 3 To make sauce, in small saucepan, mix all remaining ingredients with wire whisk until well blended. Cook over medium heat 10 minutes or until cranberry sauce is melted and mixture is thoroughly heated, stirring frequently. Cut ham into slices. Serve with sauce.
