This recipe is easily altered to suit your particular tastes. Consider: 1)Adding chopped onions, or sauteed, or carmelized onions whenever you think it best (depending on which you have chosen). 2)Adding ingredients to the cream cheese. Some ideas are: a)horseradish, b)finely grated garlic, c)spices of your choice, d)a bit of grainy or brown mustard, e)grated cheese of your choice. [We've tried cheddar, jack, blue cheese crumbles and parmesan. One night we made two pans and did each half a pan with a different cheese to see which we liked best. The kids liked the cheddar and parmesan best

Oh My! I used this basic recipe over 30 years ago! But I added small dices of the tomato and bacon (optional) with small dices of red onion, red, green or orange bell pepper, fresh jalapeno (to taste) and cut into bite size squares for appetizers! Loved it then - need to dust off the recipe and use it again!

Very good--more for adults than kids--I added a little shredded cheddar to it. Overall a good twist on a veggie pizza.
