I made this last week end and it great. I don't like mushroom in a jar so I used fresh mushroom that were fried and it turned out great. I served it with twice baked potatoes (which were made ahead) so there is very little to at serving time.

Cooked 3.5 hrs. served with rice pilaf from a box. Turned out great..

So I changed it a bit to fit with what I had in my pantry. I cooked my bacon then drained out most of the fat then sauteed my fresh mushrooms in the dripping. De glazed the pan with a little white wine. Stirred in 1 Tbsp of cream cheese and added 1 day old crescent roll that I turned into crumbs. This I stuffed into pounded deboned chicken thighs and put into the crock pot with 1/4c white whine and a can of cream of chicken soup.
