Sub a pound of browned crumbled bulk sausage of choice for the bacon. (opt) leave the peas out. (opt) This is my grand daughters fav. I don't back away either ')

This is a wonderful recipe! My 3 year old picky eater LOVED it! I made it with fat free half and half and added two diced chicken breasts. I make a double batch every time so I have always have some on hand ready to heat up.

I made this last night and given the price you pay for the amount of food (and leftovers) it yields, it's very worth making. I did think it lacked a little something. Maybe more pepper, or possibly garlic? It seemed a little bland, but an overall easy and cheap meal to prepare. :-)

I can't wait to try this as it sounds like a fantastic dish that one of my aunts used to make. I can read and I can see that it's on the high side in fat and calorie content. I wish people would rate recipes, or offer suggestions on making the dish lighter, and not try to be the food police. We all have the right to choose what we eat without having people criticize our choices. If you don't like it, don't make it, but please don't preach.

I made this recipe for my family and we thought it was fantastic. I will definatley make this again. I also added additional bacon for more flavor. You can never have enough bacon.

My family loved it and I will definitely make it again. Adding chicken sounds like a great idea.

I added a little leftover grilled chicken, and cut down on the cheese on top. It's a dish I'll make again.

Add a little bit of pressed garlic (I like a little, maybe 1/2 clove) and some minced onion in the sauce when you add the half and half to bring this dish to life. We used diced ham instead of bacon. 3.5 stars instead of 4 due to nutrition.
