Expert Tips

This is a good recipe for using up any leftover vegetables you have in your refrigerator, such as celery, broccoli or green bell pepper. Just cut them up and add with the onion and carrots.

This recipe can be used as a side to any meat entrée; just omit the rice.

Just wanted to thank you for your recipe. My 'baby' of four has just turned 20 and I was unaware of how little she took in over the years of my cooking! She was always there to taste, sample and hurry me through at meal time. Not to mention, the #1 cheer leader of praise telling me how, "Amazing that TASTES!" As the nest emptied, I would ask her to start the meal we had planned out and I would take over when I got home. This is when I found out she did not know how to boil eggs!! But, she loves the internet and good food! So, I started telling her to look it up here, to see if there are a

Fiancee and Dad loved it! I added chicken for a little protein and used more stir fry sauce then the recipe called for. Made it more juicer and a little sauce leftover in the pan to dribble on the rice. Would def make again.

No review just yet, wanted to say how disgusted I am with people who downgrade something without even trying it! A recipe is a GUIDE! You CAN make adjustments to it! You show your ignorance when you judge something before testing it, or because it may contain too much of something to suit your fancy! Just about anything you prepare, you can do a taste test to see if the balance is right for you. If you apply a rating to a recipe without testing it, you send a FALSE message to others! Be thankful that there are folks gracious enough to take the time to provide recipes for us!

Bandit7504, I used LOW SODIUM Asian stir-fry sauce. Chowmama, lots of folks cook for one or two and also work . . this is the kind of "recipes" we appreciate! I sat down to eat in 20 minutes.

For my own personal taste I omitted the mushrooms - started to add water chestnuts but did not. I used LOW SODIUM Asian stir fry sauce. . . Kikkoman's (original) if I can name a brand. Cooking for one is not usually something I do, but I really enjoyed this!! Love the heat from the pepper flakes!
