Salad

bag (10 oz) Italian blend salad greens

cups matchstick-cut carrots (from 10-oz bag)

cans (8 oz each) sliced water chestnuts, drained

can (11 oz) mandarin orange segments, drained
1/3
cup sliced green onions (5 to 6 medium)

tablespoon sesame seed, toasted if desired*

cup chow mein noodles

Dressing

tablespoons sugar

teaspoon ground ginger
1/4
teaspoon salt

tablespoons vinegar
1
teaspoon red pepper sauce

teaspoon soy sauce

cup vegetable oil

Directions

  1. 1 In 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish, layer salad greens, carrots, water chestnuts, orange segments and onions. Sprinkle with sesame seed.
  2. 2 In small bowl, mix all dressing ingredients except oil with wire whisk. Gradually add oil, beating until well blended. Drizzle dressing evenly over salad. Top with chow mein noodles.
