This is a easy go to meal when every thing else fails. I have my own recipe for this dish I use white meat too.

Flavor of chicken broth overpowers everything else! Maybe the use of half water and half broth would help? I would also suggest maybe using salt and pepper on drumsticks before browning.

I'm a beginner chef and made this recipe the other night. It was pretty good and easy to make. My only complaint is the rice seemed greasy. I use the same yellow rice I always use (and love) but it turned out different when cooking it this way. My guess was the chicken broth. If I make it again, I think I'll try it without the chicken broth.
