Apple Walnut Sticky Buns

medium Granny Smith apple, peeled, cut into 1/2-inch cubes

cup chopped walnuts

cup packed brown sugar

can (12.4 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. Generously butter 8 regular muffin cups with softened butter.
  • 2 In bowl, mix apples, walnuts and brown sugar; divide evenly among muffin cups. Separate cinnamon rolls; reserve icing. Place 1 cinnamon roll in each cup.
  • 3 Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until tops are golden brown. Cool 5 minutes. Place cookie sheet upside down over muffin pan; turn over. Remove pan.
  • 4 Remove lid from icing; microwave on Medium (50%) 5 to 10 seconds or until thin enough to drizzle. Drizzle over warm buns. Serve warm.

My recipe didn't come out good at all. They were runny when I dumped them onto the cookie sheet. Also they stuck to the pan & I had to dig them out then all the topping went everywhere. Had to scoop up the topping & put back on top of each bun. The timing for melting the icing was off also, took longer. I will not make this again.

Thank you Sandra for a new take on sticky buns. The people I shared them with loved them and promptly baked their own batch. A real taste treat!!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!! I just made these and they are to die for!!!! simply heavenly!!!!! I will make these over and over and over again!!! and so EASY!!!!!!
