Serve your family with this salad that’s made with apples and walnuts – a tasty side dish that’s ready in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients

large Granny Smith apple, chopped (1 3/4 cups)

large Gala apple, chopped (1 3/4 cups)
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1
tablespoon sugar
1
tablespoon fresh orange juice
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, toasted

Steps

  • 1 In large bowl, mix apples and raisins. In small bowl, mix yogurt, sugar and orange juice. Pour over apple mixture and stir to coat. Serve or refrigerate. Stir in walnuts just before serving.

Expert Tips

Orange-flavored or regular sweetened dried cranberries can be substituted for the raisins.

Shelled walnuts can be refrigerated, tightly covered, up to 6 months or frozen up to 1 year. There’s no need to thaw them before chopping and toasting.
