Apple-Cheese Melts

Five ingredients and 10 minutes is all you need to broil these cheesy apple sandwiches - perfect for dinner.

Ingredients

slices French or Italian bread, each 1 inch thick

tablespoons applesauce

medium apple, cored and cut into rings

ounces fat-free Cheddar cheese, sliced
2
ounces Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 1 Set oven control to broil. Place bread on ungreased cookie sheet. Broil with tops about 4 inches from heat until golden brown; turn. Spread applesauce on bread slices. Place half of apple rings on each bread slice. Top with cheeses. Broil just until cheese begins to melt.
