Almost Candy Bars

Here's some temptation for lovers of rich, gooey desserts. Dry cake mix blended with margarine forms a crust for butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, coconut and nuts.

Ingredients

1/2
cup margarine or butter
1
(1 lb. 2.25-oz.) pkg. pudding-included devil's food cake mix
1
cup butterscotch chips
1
(6-oz.) pkg. (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1
cup coconut
1
cup chopped nuts
1
(14-oz.) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, cut margarine into cake mix with fork or pastry blender until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over bottom of ungreased 15x10x1-inch baking pan; press lightly.
  • 2 Sprinkle with butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, coconut and nuts. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over all ingredients.
  • 3 Bake at 350°F. for 20 to 30 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 45 minutes or until completely cooled. Cut into bars.
