This was incredible! Both my daughters asked for the recipe before I had even sat down at the table to eat my piece of dessert. Easy to make and it was good a few days later when I enjoyed the very last piece. Awesome!!

Instead of the 1-1/2 cups whipping cream, I used an 8-oz. container of cool whip (defrosted) and folded it in gently. Seemed to work out just fine. Note: the toasted almonds don't stay very crisp once the dessert is refrigerated.

I made this for like 200 hundred people and it was a hit!! everyone loved them and they went really fast. To make the sauce thicker i used half of the whip cream they recommended, and it is best to make the sauce before hand if you are making it for a large group.

These were awesome!!! Everyone raved about it. I didn''t use the whole amount of almonds for the top because I thought it was pretty thick. Very Good!!!
