Grands! Frozen Biscuits

  1. I accidentally put my bag of Pillsbury® Oven Baked Biscuits in the refrigerator instead of the freezer. What should I do?
Any Oven Baked product stored in the refrigerator for more than 24 hours should be discarded.

  2. What if the biscuits thaw? Can I freeze them again?
We do not recommend refreezing dough that has thawed.

  3. I accidentally put my bag of Biscuits in the cupboard. Can I still use it?
Any Oven Baked products left at room temperature for more than two hours should be discarded.

  4. Can I bake some of the biscuits now and save some for later?
Yes! Just leave the remaining biscuits in the bag, reseal the bag and store in the freezer.

  5. Do I need to thaw the biscuits before baking them?
No, the dough is ready to use right out of the package.

  6. Can I microwave the unbaked dough?
No. The uneven heat of a microwave prevents the dough from browning and baking through.

  7. Do I need to preheat the oven?
Yes, preheat the oven for 10 minutes before baking. This important step will help the product bake evenly.

  8. Which oven rack should I use?
Use the center rack of your oven.

  9. Can I freeze the baked biscuits?
Yes! For best results, use within one month after freezing.

  10. What if I cannot find my favorite Oven Baked product?
Pillsbury would like all stores to carry all our products. Unfortunately, this doesn't always happen. We recommend you express your interest in a particular product to your local store manager.

  11. Do I need to grease the pan?
No, Oven Baked Biscuits should be baked on an ungreased pan.

  12. Can I bake the biscuits in a toaster oven?
Most toaster ovens work well for one or two biscuits. Set timer for 15 minutes for Cheddar Garlic biscuits, or 20 minutes for Buttermilk, Butter Tastin’™ and Southern Style biscuits. Watch closely, because ovens vary in heating ability.

  13. How do I reheat a baked biscuit?
Microwave one biscuit on HIGH for 8 to 12 seconds or until warm.

  14. Do I need different directions if I live at a high altitude (above 3500 feet)?
Yes, increase the oven temperature to 400 degrees F. Bake according to the times listed on the package.
