We’re all about bringing simplicity to the table this spring. And really, these attractive rolls couldn’t be easier to make. Even the kids can help pull them together.

Start with a container of either Pillsbury refrigerated country Italian bread or crusty French loaf and follow these steps:

bread dough rounds on a cookie sheet. some have petals cut into them and a pair of hands is cutting petals into another.
Cut the dough crosswise into 9 slices. With kitchen scissors, cut around the outside of each slice 7 times on a diagonal, cutting in about 1 inch, to form petals. a cookie sheet with a pair of kitchen scissors on it and the 3 stages of the flower form: dough round, petals being cut, and a full flower with poppy seeds sprinkled on them. several rounds are to the side of the cookie sheet next to a bowl of poppy seeds.
Brush the dough with beaten egg white; sprinkle with poppy seeds.

Then bake the flower buns at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
