Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 6 cups Cheerios™ cereal
  • Betty Crocker™ Fruit Gushers™ tropical flavors fruit flavored snacks

Steps

  • 1
Spray 24 regular-size muffin cups with cooking spray.
  • 2
In large microwavable bowl, microwave 1 2/3 cups butterscotch chips and 1 cup peanut butter on High, stirring every 30 seconds until melted and can be stirred smooth.
  • 3
Add 6 cups Cheerios™ cereal; stir until cereal is evenly coated.
  • 4
Scoop about 1/4 cup cereal mixture into each muffin cup. With back of spoon or small cookie scoop, form indentation in each cup to hold “eggs”. Refrigerate 1 hour or until completely hardened.
  • 5
Remove nests from muffin cups. Place 2 or 3 fruit snacks filled with real fruit juice in each nest.

Tips from the Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
Use chocolate chips instead of butterscotch chips for a classic peanut butter and chocolate combination.
  • tip 2
If you don’t have muffin pans, you can use a baking sheet. Just place the cereal mixture in a mound, and make a slight indentation for the “eggs”.
