Homemade applesauce doesn't get any easier than this! Just 10 minutes in the microwave is all it takes.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and chopped (about 5 cups)
  • 3/4 cup apple juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3/4 teaspoon apple pie spice

Steps

  • 1
    Place all ingredients in microwavable container with cover; stir until well combined. Partially cover container, leaving small amount of space for steam to escape.

    Microwave on High 10 minutes. Cool slightly. For chunky applesauce, use potato masher or hand mixer to blend to desired thickness. For smooth applesauce, process in food processor until smooth. Serve warm, or refrigerate until cool.
