I took a classic, time-consuming, traditional dinner and cut the preparation time dramatically. To start, take a can of Pillsbury® Grands!® Homestyle Buttermilk Biscuits and roll them out. Drape them over an upside-down muffin pan and bake.
The result is a cute little bowl that's great for holding a creamy, flavorful chicken pot pie filling.
To make the filling, start by cooking cubed chicken and diced vegetables. Make a simple sauce with sherry, chicken broth and cream. Finish with fresh herbs and peas. It's a truly delicious and comforting meal.
Both the adults and picky eaters at my table enjoyed this take on chicken pot pie. My children loved the biscuit bowl and brainstormed different things that we could put inside it. Sloppy joes...inside-out meatball subs. There are so many ways to use the biscuit bowl!
