Chocolate Dulce de Leche Crescents How-To
Blogger Carrian Cheney’s secret to successful family time involves these cinnamon-sugary stuffed crescents.
I grew up in a home that had family night every Monday evening. Every. Single. Monday. As a teenager this was not always cool, but as an adult, and now a mom to two, you better believe we do the exact same thing. Every. Single. Monday.
And you know what? These stuffed crescents are going to keep our kids sold on it until they have kids of their own too.
We’ve found that in a world full of a lot of hate, judgments and commotion, we need a place of refuge for our children. A place where our children can walk in and feel peace and love. I guess we figure that they get so much junk dumped on them in the outside world that we need to create an environment where we can teach them to believe in themselves, and where we can protect, lead and guide them.
Our family time is essential to laugh, talk and play together. Our kids especially love game nights and movie nights, but that doesn’t always make for good conversation, so we find ways to chat even if we are going to be busy watching a movie. That’s where these treats come in.
Sometimes you just have to let go as a parent and make something crazy delicious and gooey, and something that the kids can help with. Trust me, they will be so excited to roll up these little crescent pillows.
