Mochatinis and Mini Donuts How-To
Make brunch a little sweeter with this drink and dessert pairing.
Weekends are meant for relaxing and are even more fun when you are sipping on a mochatini and munching on mini donuts! Blended with ice, my mochatini combines espresso, milk, coffee liquor, whipped cream vodka and crème de cacao, making a delicious drink for adults. Add a few mini chocolate chips, and you’ll think it’s from your local coffee shop, only with a kick.
Don’t forget to make these easy donuts to serve on the side! With Pillsbury® Grands!® refrigerated biscuits, you can prepare them in less than 30 minutes. Just take a biscuit and cut out 1-inch circles. (I used the large end of a decorating tip.) Cut out the doughnut hole with a 1/8- or 1/4-inch circle. (I used the small end of the decorating tip.) Place both on a nonstick baking sheet; bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
While they are baking, mix up your drink and blend with ice until it is frothy. Pour into cold glasses, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with mini chocolate chips.
When the donuts are cool, dip them into frosting made from powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. You want to coat the top and let a little icing drip over the side. I colored mine a bright pink and topped them with white sprinkles. Place on a sheet of waxed paper or parchment paper to let dry. Skewer them and place in your drink like a stir stick.
